Learning Calligraphy

If you see my posts recently on Instagram, I uploaded some of my calligraphy works. After I joined calligraphy workshop by Veronica Halim (her calligraphy skill is amazing, you should sign up for her workshop) on The Bride Dept's wedding fair at Ritz-Carlton Hotel, I felt like I finally found my true inner self.

I usually go to sleep at 10 p.m normally, but lately I forgot how to sleep, instead I create some calligraphy until I realized it was quite late. And my calligraphy style is modern calligraphy. Copperplate style is pretty difficult actually for me. Copperplate has strict rules, meanwhile modern calligraphy has no rules.

I'm planning on buy some new nibs next month. Do you have any recommendation what nibs I should buy? Let me know!

Strobing Tutorial on The It Girl

Hello people.

Recently, I created a post about strobing tutorial on The It Girl. And I would like to share some stories behind the scene on this post.

First, it was my first photoshoot that involved model, and super tiny studio. I made my little bedroom into a studio with help of white fabric material I got from my office that should be tailored for my work uniform. But I already had many white shirts, so, I guess it would be helpful if it's for another function.

Second, I'm not a makeup artist though. But I worked a little bit as a makeup artist here since I love drawing. And it's not that difficult to strobe.

After all, I still need learn a lot about photography. What do you think of my photos I took? I would love to hear some comments whether it's a compliment or advice.

Lettering Essentials

Today's weather was a little bit steamy hot but cloudy but I love it. I wrote this post as I was waiting my flight to Surabaya for my first blog design workshop. Hope you can be there!

So, I would like to share my lettering and also calligraphy tools I've been using. I haven't bought any new tools, but I'm waiting my Tombow brush pens arrived on my house. Seriously, there's no offline store that sell this brush pen so I have to pre-order it on online store. But it takes so long, more than two weeks. Okay, enough telling about my complaints.
