Travel // A Day in Gili Trawangan

As you know that months ago I was having holiday on Lombok, I visited Gili Trawangan. Gili Trawangan is a small island (Gili means small island) that has breath-taking beaches and sceneries. I was there for only a day but there are so many fun things we did. In Lombok, I stayed in Mataram (Lombok's capital city) and we have to use public boat to cross to Gili Trawangan. And when we arrived at Gili Trawangan, we rent Cidomo (small horse carriage) to see the whole island. Because there are no motorcycles, cars, or even dogs. Seriously, there are no dogs there. People usually use bike to go everywhere (We can rent a bike too!). When we went around the Gili with Cidomo, there are a lot of super beautiful views. Beaches, resorts, everything is beautiful. You should see all photos below.

Sweets Illustration

Lately I'm obsessed drawing cute looking sweets like cupcakes, macaroons, and other pastries. I love drawing since I was a kid but I've been busy with my undergraduate thesis stuff so there isn't enough time to spend my time with brushes and paints. I love these color though I'm still need more time to regain my manual drawing skills. It's been a long time I did digital illustration.

I'm always a fan of pastels. And then I found these amazing colors from Miu Miu Spring 2014 RTW on Vogue. It's beautiful. Pastels with popping neon color.

It's been a long time I haven't used any nail polish. And I think that metallic is the current perfect color this season. I couldn't find any matching color for my mood. I wear silver metallic nail polish that I got from my relative. And this nail polish is by HEMA.

Last week, I posted about 'Summer Everyday' which I told you about how hot it was in my hometown. But this week, it's quite cold and peaceful. It's been such a very lazy day. Even my dog was too lazy to wake up. I really enjoyed these kinda days where I can fully wrap myself in the blanket, brewing a cup of tea, and reading the Great Gatsby. And of course, my boyfriend would make it the most comfortable rainy days if he was here. So have you guys prepared this cold season? Make sure you're wrapped warmly enough.

Hey guys, it's finally raining. I love the weather today, thanks God. With light rains, blanket, and of course blogging (a cup of coffee would be a great company but I stop drinking coffee since 1,5 years ago). It had been weeks with serious heat, the temp could rise up to 35 C. It was totally hot and I feel like I want to escape from my town as soon as possible. As I working on my undergraduate thesis, I open Polyvore and then making this collage!

Blogging Tips // Why I Choose Blogger Over Wordpress

When I was asked whether choosing blogger or wordpress, I answered, "Of course I choose Blogger!". People, my clients, my friends, my family asked me a lot about this. For the first time, I was a bit confused which one I should choose. And after some trials on blogger and wordpress. I realized that Blogger is more suitable for me as a beginner. I saw some beautiful wordpress websites and I wonder whether I could make Blogger website like that. There are some blogger websites that inspire me to develop more on blog designing, like, blog milk blog.

And another reason why I love blogger is that it's FREE and fully customizable. Wordpress is free but limited. Free wordpress is limited for us to customize the appearance of the website. Well, Wordpress has so much plug-ins to ease the user for blogging. Blogger might not be as advanced as Wordpress, but there are so many tutorials about customizing Blogger websites and those tutorials are quite easy if we understand fundamentals of programming. I'm not saying that Wordpress is not good, but if you're a blogger and need low-cost blog platform, I would suggest to Blogger. I would love to have my Wordpress website someday.

Finally it's Saturday and I have time for my self. It's been a tiring week for me with assignments and preparing my next little project. I love Saturday, because it's the day when I can relax for a moment, grab my brushes and paints and starts painting. I love painting since I was a kid. And that's a gift from God so I have to use it well.

It's a day when I can treat my self. Whether it's a beauty treatment (head-to-toe) or treat my right brain with some illustrations I made. Everyone deserves a nice treatment for their hard work. And also, Saturday is the day when I can have a long call with my boyfriend.

Favorite Lists of TV Series and Movies

When I asked about what's my favorite genre for movies & tv series, well, my favorite genre is mystery thriller. Maybe I love it because when I was a kid, almost every day I watched horror tv series. I don't know why my mom allowed me to watch it. And I love cartoons too. Seriously, I watched cartoons for more than twenty years and there's nothing wrong with that, right? I'm also a fan of documentary films, especially about animals, and nature. It's because when I was a kid my daddy always watched those kind a films every day. He didn't allow me to watch cartoons, like, Crayon Sinchan. I'm not a fan of vampire series, because I thought those vampires are ridiculous, and falling in love with vampire is way more ridiculous. It's better watching zombies than vampires.

This November, I found a great song when I watched Pretty Little Liars Season 4. I'm kinda obsessed with that series even sometimes I had dreams about  Pretty Little Liars. A great song I found was Meiko's single, Bad Things. Then I started looking for her other songs. And I came up with her album, The Bright Side. Her songs are easy-listening and sometimes calming my mood. A great company when I'm doing my works.

Photoshoot for Guzel

So I finally did it. My very first experience as a photographer, dreams come true! I did it for my friend's upcoming online store, Guzel,  that will sell hijabs and stuff (she's the model). A long ago, I was the model for my friends and now I become the photographer! I'm so excited to do this.

The theme was back to nature. With the green from leaves, blue from the sky, and some florals. I almost could not find the right location for this photo session. Eventually, we ended up at Kenjeran Park near my college. And I did for the make up too. Looking so amateur, right? But I'm happy with the photos I've taken. and of course, I need some exercises about photograph. Great photographer doesn't need great camera, but great eyes to capture great things.

Finally, it's the last day of October. I love this month so much, because I have chances to see my boyfriend (twice in a month is a record). Also, I have so many new experiences on a working project. I really can't wait to show you the complete project I've created this month for my friend.
